The Tel Dan Stele's Mention of the Psalms of Solomon (63 to 44 BCE)

This study argues that the Psalms of Solomon predate the Tel Dan Stele through a strictly relative chronological argument. Using 17 thematic parallels and 6 structural silences between the two texts, it demonstrates that the Psalms of Solomon constitutes an anterior witness to the Stele, placing both documents within the first-century BCE Herodian bilingual milieu. The method applied is external contextualisation and convergence of interests, deliberately avoiding direct attribution to any named author.

Cette étude soutient que les Psaumes de Salomon sont antérieurs à la Stèle de Tel Dan, par un argument strictement chronologique relatif. En établissant 17 parallèles thématiques et 6 silences structurels entre les deux textes, elle démontre que les Psaumes de Salomon constituent un témoin antérieur à la Stèle, plaçant les deux documents dans le milieu bilingue hérodien du premier siècle avant notre ère.
